Catherine Martin, the über-talented personal and professional partner to film director, screenwriter and producer Baz Luhrmann has a résumé that includes some of my favorite of favorites; Moulin Rouge, Romeo + Juliet and Strictly Ballroom, not to mention The Great Gatsby, (opening in May), for which I simply cannot wait. The costumes... the jewels... well... that's all there is to say about that.
Aside from her myriad other projects across a varied creative spectrum, what I'm so loving right now are her textiles for Mokum. Touched with the same magic wand of fantasy that gilds all her work, these perfect patterns are fairy tales come to life.
